Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Whipp app and website. By downloading or using Whipp, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. Using Whipp
Whipp provides meal plans, cost estimates, shopping lists and recipes for personal, non-commercial use. Whipp is made for adults running a household — you need to be at least 16 to use it. You agree to use the app lawfully and not to misuse, copy or resell any part of the service.
2. Your licence to use Whipp
Whipp is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms. Because you download Whipp from Apple’s App Store, your use is also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where that Apple agreement and these terms overlap, the term that gives you the stronger protection applies.
3. Pricing, your free trial & billing
Whipp is free to download and free to try for your first week. After that, continued use is paid. The current price is always shown in the app and on your App Store purchase screen before you confirm — we’ll never charge you without showing the price first.
All payments are taken by Apple through the App Store account you’re signed in with, under Apple’s payment terms — we never see or store your card details. Where your plan renews automatically, Apple charges the account at the start of each new period unless you cancel beforehand. You can view, manage or cancel at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device; cancelling stops future charges and keeps your access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
4. Refunds
Because Apple handles billing for App Store purchases, Apple also handles refunds. If something’s gone wrong, you can request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We’re always happy to help too — email support@whipp.app and we’ll do what we can. Nothing here affects the statutory refund and cancellation rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
5. Grocery cost estimates
Grocery costs shown in Whipp are estimates provided for guidance only. Actual prices at checkout may differ. Whipp is not responsible for differences between estimated and final costs.
6. Nutrition & dietary information
Calorie, macro and dietary information is provided as a helpful guide and may not be exact. Whipp is not a medical service. If you have allergies, intolerances or specific health needs, always check ingredient labels and consult a professional where appropriate.
7. No account needed
Whipp doesn’t require you to create an account or log in — it runs on your device, and your settings and plans are stored there. Any subscription is tied to the Apple ID you buy it with and is managed through your Apple account settings.
8. Intellectual property
Whipp, its branding, recipes and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only as permitted within the app.
9. Third-party brands and trademarks
Whipp is an independent app. We’re not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or partnered with any of the supermarkets or retailers we mention — including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Waitrose, M&S and Co-op — or any other brand named in the app or on this site. We use those names only to tell you which stores Whipp can help you plan and shop for. All supermarket names, logos and other third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and any prices we show are our own estimates, not figures supplied or approved by those retailers.
10. Changes & availability
We may update, add or remove features, and we may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We aim to keep Whipp available but can’t guarantee uninterrupted service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer living somewhere else, this doesn’t take away any rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country you live in — those always apply on top of these terms.
